I ventured into network marketing just about 2 years ago to create residual income, and as you said, that was when MLM started to change. Because of the internet, alot more than MLM has changed. People are too busy trying to make a dollar that they are cramming advertisements down everyone’s throat. As you also said, a few short years ago, you would look at 2 or 3 companies and now, you are looking at a couple dozen every day! Things are shifting … the strong will survive. Its inevitable. Just had to vent.
I look forward to your next blog! -

Mike, you are not making sense. You are acting like you dont have a right to buy products from several different network marketing companies but of course, you do and you can. as you know, you just cant RECRUIT for each one of them, which makes perfect sense. This is not such a strict rule that you are not capable of following. its very simple. Recruit for one company and you can be a product user for some others as well.

Mike,
Thanks for your insight, you really cut out the hype and you tell it like it is! It’s good to have an industry leader like yourself that is still a “jeans and T shirt kinda guy…”
Thanks again for your leadership, we have made more money in the past 2 years following your training and blogs, than we’ve made the 1st 8 years combined…

Bob, that makes sense and I agree totally about just being a user. However, it’s not really what I was completely implying. I joined a company once, although I was already in another and did so just for the product. Some people liked the new product that I was using and they wanted to get some. The problem was that in order to get the NEW product they had to join as a distributor…..what do you do? Not get the referral from it? Tell them not to be a distributor? Say sorry but I can’t sign you up go sign up with Billy Bob? Did I just violate the eternal laws of MLM? Am I now labeled as an MLM “predator” ? There lies the dilemma for me and the industry problem. Here’s the thing. In this scenario, did I recruit or did the product?
Don’t worry, I get it and this is exactly why I am going to do the videos I am about to do. I need to address this situation. To protect the rep. In fact I can think of a lady that I know that was getting a tiny check in her company after working it for about 4 years. She ended up USING another companies product because of headaches and it helped. A friend of hers who was not in her downline but was in the same company the other lady was in wanted her product, which she ended up buying. Long story short the lady who worked for 4 years at her company ended up losing her little check which she needed after some upline found out that she was in another company. This is what urks me!
Here’s the thing….if you are in the same company I am, YOU should not fear having me as your competition, right? I get that. In fact there are plenty of companies that are now moving in this direction that really don’t care about what other companies you are in.
This is what I am trying to say about the INTERNET and OLD MLM. The game is totally changing…..Glad you wrote this comment bye the way. Get’s me thinking. And wait till you see the next few videos I do

Hey Mike, What’s up? I was watching your dvd again on how to “PTP” biz and how it can be applied to my brand new… The dvd still has some great stuff I can use today (i.e. keep it simple and doable), but you’ve definitely piqued my interest and I can’t wait to see your next video blog.
Have a good one!

Mike, You certainly have a good point. In theory, if you use another company’s product and it helps you with a condition or you simply just love it, you should be able to recommend it to a friend and get a referrel fee. somehow i dont think that is what happened in your case. the company didnt suspend you because you recommended a good product to a few friends. i would be willing to bet that you had quite a sizable group growing with this new product/company, not because there was some “wonderul” product involved, but because you attracted tons of people to you. you are an awesome trainer, no question about it, and tons of people wanted to be a part of whatever you were doing and involved – something new and exciting and with YOU.
Aside from this, what you are saying is certainly correct. one should be able to use and recommend another company’s product and get credit. The only thing that really concerns me about you is committment. You seem to have gone from one thing to the next in a short period of time. one minute you are saying an opportunity is incredible and then a month later, you are gone from it and onto something else. A little scary, but again, you are an excellent trainer and have some great material
